Training and Education Pre-Employment Exhibition – 8th Edition
The University participated in the 8th edition of Bahrain Exhibition for Training and Education Pre-Employment 2019, which was held under the patronage of HE Jameel bin Mohammed Hamaidan, Minister of Labour and Social Development. Many other universities, vocational and educational institutions and companies from diverse sectors participated in the exhibition.
Professor Ghassan Aouad, President of the University, said that the participation in the exhibition was an important step to present the University and its academic programmes to the students and visitors. He pointed out the University’s keenness to participate in prominent educational exhibitions to promote facilities that keep up with the specializations of the students, contribute to the educational process and showcase the greatest accomplishments of the students.
He also highlighted the significance of participating in the Bahrain Pre-Employment Training and Education Exhibition to address the topic of workforce development. The exhibition emphasised the development in higher education and vocational training as per the requirements of the labour market. They open new horizons for Bahraini youth by ensuring their competitiveness in the labour market. This is in the context of effective government plans and strategies to employ and empower young Bahrainis.
Ms. Ruqaya Mohsin, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations, explained that the University’s participation in this exhibition was based on its mission to support education and to show the Kingdom’s progress in academic and educational achievements.
The programme aimed to provide the best services to students by introducing the specialisations offered by the University. The University grants students a British certificate in the College of Engineering in collaboration with London South Bank University, UK; the British Accounting and Finance programmes in collaboration with the Cardiff Metropolitan University, and appropriate guidance to choose a specialization corresponding to the capabilities of each individual.
