ASU receives a delegation from the skills committee of the GCC
A delegation from the skills committee of the GCC visited the ASU and they were met by the vice president of the academic affairs and quality of education professor Hilal and the director of the public relations directorate Ruqaya Mohsen. The delegation toured in the university campus of the ASU and visited the facilities of the university, halls, labs and the entertainment halls. The members of the delegation praised the facilities available at the university and said that they were established according to the international specifications of the buildings and premises and the requirements of the higher education and congratulated the staff of the university appreciating their efforts in developing this educational institute and their sincere efforts to establish this university edifice that contributes in offering an educational atmosphere and inciting environment for those who are anxious to seek knowledge, research and innovation.
The guests met a number of the university students who showed their skills in the graphic design, interior design, photography and computer science. At the end of their round, the members of the skills committee of the GCC met the executive chairman of the board of directors professor Waheeb Khaja who expressed his happens for the visit and how anxious he is for a joint gulf cooperation in all sectors to serve the youth of the GCC. He assured that the university is ready to offer full support for the Gulf skills competitions in order to achieve its aims and contribute in improving the skills of the Bahraini youth in particular and the gulf youth in general.
It is worth mentioning that the university has participated in the competition of the first national skills competition and the GCC skills competition. The academic faculty participated as experts and the students as competitors and the university achieved an advanced positions by winning the gold, silver and bronze medals in the graphic design and computer science. The university will participate by introducing a number of experts and students in the gulf competition that will be held during the month of April at the Kingdom of Saud Arabia.
