Launching the activities of the fourth professions day at the Applied Science University
Manama- Applied Science University: Under the patronage of his excellency Shaikh Hisham Bin Abdulrahman Bin Mohamed Al-khalifa the capital governor, the Applied Science University launched the activities of the fourth Exhibition for professions. His Excellency the governor of the capital authorized Hassan Madan, the deputy of the governor to launch the activities of the exhibition on Wednesday 18 March 2015 at the university campus. The celebration was organized with the participation of a number of companies from the public and private sectors. The aim of the exhibition is to consolidate the links between the students and the labor market by offering them training and job opportunities and to explain to the labor market the learning outcomes of the university and the level of the professional and scientific qualifications of the students.
On this occasion, the executive director of the administrative council of the university Professor waheeb Khaja expressed his happiness for the high number of the participating companies that reached nineteen from all the sectors . He assured that the profession day is a successful step in order to achieve a closer relationship between the ambitions of the students and the requirements of the companies and establishments at the labor market.
Profossor Ghassan, the president of the university explained that the main importance of this day is to offer a chance to the students to know the kinds of the professional sectors that suits their needs, to gain the experience and talent in introducing their C.V and to pass the interview successfully.
The president of the university added that the serious attention of the companies to participate in the professions day shows clearly the success of the partnership that the university seeks to consolidate with the private and public sectors. This also shows the trust of these two sectors in the university outcome that offered the labor market a high number of qualified cadres whom many of them are praised and trusted at their offices. The president also expressed his thanks for his Excellency the governor of the governorate for his continues support for the university because it is one of the educational institutions in Bahrain.
On his turn, the dean of the students’ affairs and evening studies Dr. Nihad Jaboori assured that the participation of the professional sectors plays an important role in the diversity of the professional chances to the students in the future. He added that the university seeks to attract as many companies as possible by giving a great consideration to the profession day hoping that the exhibition has achieved the required benefit for both the students and the participating companies from both the private and public sector.
