The Applied Science University organizes “Employment and Training Exhibition” under the Patronage of the Minister of Labour and Social Development.
The Career Development and Alumni Affairs Office at the Deanship of Student Affairs held the Employment and Training Exhibition for the 6th consecutive year, under the patronage of the Minister of Labour and Social Development Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Humaidan, the event was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Waheeb Al Khaja, the President of the University Professor Ghassan Fouad Aouad and a large number of companies within the public and the private sectors.
The Minister praised the University’s initiative to introduce its students to the needed skills and disciplines by the labour market and the challenges that job seekers face to help them in order to assist them in determining their career options.
The exhibition aimed to enhance communication between students, graduates and the labour market by providing job opportunities and training, with the outputs of university education and the level of scientific and professional competence of graduate students. It alos aimed to create opportunities for the target group of students and graduates to meet with private sector institutions and companies to identify the needs of the local labour market. As well as the need to familiarize the university student with the ethics of work before entering the labour market and the requirements of integration and success in the labour market.
Professor Ghassan Fouad Aouad explained that the Employment and Training Exhibition for students and alumni provides great opportunities to learn about the types of professional sectors that suit their specialization and expectations.
It should be noted that the participants in the exhibition offered around 800 of career and training opportunities for university alumni in a number of professional specializations.
