Universities TradeQuest Challenge 2016-2017
On Thursday, the Vice Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Dr Ramzi Nekhili and six of our Accounting & Finance students attended the quick off of Universities TradeQuest Challenge 2016-2017 at the Bahrain Stock Exchange. Eight Bahraini universities including ASU are competing, and our students are officially enrolled in this investment trading competition. This prestigious competition goes over 4 months of investing and trading at New York Stock Exchange and Bahrain Stock Exchange. It has many aims as it gives a realistic experience of trading, builds on the foundation of financial principles, creates a broader understanding of the financial services sector in Bahrain, develops skills, and more importantly it prepares for future career. Teams will work cooperatively to build portfolio, conduct research, develop strategies, and make buy and sell decisions. Our ASU team has been assigned to a university advisor, Dr Ramzi Nekhili, and to an investment advisor from Bahrain Bourse. Let’s all wish that ASU team will produce the best portfolio performance.
