On 13 December 2016 and under the patronage of Prof Waheeb Alkhaja, Chairman of the BOT, we celebrated our Kingdom National Day and Accession to the throne by HM the King. It was a fantastic event and Abdulla Nass Hall was packed with students and staff until 10:30pm that night. We had about 600 students and staff inside and outside the building. I would like to acknowledge our Student Council for doing a fantastic job in organizing the event in collaboration with the Deanship of Students Affairs and Evening Studies as they have worked day and night to make this event a success. Mr Mohammed Najjar is a true asset to our University, I am grateful to you and all colleagues in the Deanship for all your hard work and support to our students. This will pay dividends during the accreditation visit. Please always remember the students are the bread and butter of our university and they are our daughters and sons, we should look after them as part of our moral duties. The accreditation panel will look at Governance, Management, Teaching and Students Support as the key measures of meeting high standards. I would also like to thank Ibrahim in Security and the team for their hard work and contributions during the event and our daily lives.
