Applied Science University celebrates with students the inauguration of the new campus
Manama – Applied Science University:
Within the framework of Applied Science University celebrations of inaugurating the new campus in eastern Aker, the University celebrated the inauguration of the new campus with students under the patronage of Dr. Waheeb Al-khaja the President of the University and with participation of the Vice Presidents, faculty members and administrative staff. The celebration included a range of different events as Bahraini Ardha dance in addition to awards.
On this occasion, Dr. Waheeb Al-Khaja explained that the new campus is a quantum leap in the educational and academic process of the university, pointing out that the university administration has spared no effort to reflect the civilized and modern vision of Bahrain Kingdom which aims at making the Kingdom an oasis of higher education in the region and being fundamental basics to support the economy and accelerate the development of the country in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
In turn, Dr. Nihad al-Jubouri explained that Applied Science University aspires, through the new campus, to upgrade the educational process and strengthen its position among the local and the Arab world universities, pointing out that the Deanship of Student Affairs and evening Studies is always keen to take care of student events in order to enhance and support the extracurricular activities at the university.
It is worth mentioning that the new campus was built on 24000 M², the buildings were built on 20000 M² and match the international standards and higher education requirements with a total cost reached to thirteen million Bahraini dinars.
The new campus includes three faculties: Administrative Sciences faculty, Arts and Sciences faculty, and Law faculty, along with the faculty of Engineering which will be established soon. Furthermore, the campus includes three buildings: the academic building, administrative building and the building of training and continuing education and sports facilities.
