On Sunday, 30 October 2016, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the President of the University, staff and Student Council members celebrated the first anniversary of the President’s News Digest.  It was really pleasing to see some of the new Student Council members attending the event and who have produced a nice video on Instagram of the event. The welcoming speech by Prof Waheeb Alkhaja was very encouraging and touching. We are all grateful for his vision and continuous support. Many thanks go to Ruqaya for the very creative cake and for remembering our colleagues, Tania, Ayat and Diana with some gifts and flowers.

Tania, who worked so hard on the News Digest, sent a link to all staff to provide feedback of how to improve the News Digest, please respond with good suggestions. We need to include more stories about our students work. I would like and on your behalf to thank Tania for her dedication, commitment, and creativity.

Many thanks to all those who contributed in the past, but this year we want to see more new faces. This newsletter will help us immensely with accreditation through better communication and engagement with various stakeholders.
