Under the Patronage of H.E. Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minster of Foreign Affairs, the  University represented by the President, Dr. Faiza Zitouni, the Dean of Student Affairs and Evening Studies, Dr. Mohammad Alaa Al-Hamami, the Director of Community Engagement Office, and Ustaza Hanaa from the Community engagement committee participated in the Social Media Day event organized by the Social Media Club on the 30th of June 2016.

Ali Sabkar, the President of the Social Media Club, thanked the University for being a strategic partner and supporting the different activities and events of the club.

The ceremony at the Capital Club was attended by more than 100 guests including HM the King’s advisor for Media Affairs Nabeel bin Yaqoob Al Hamar. Social media influencers in Bahrain have been honored for putting Bahrain on the world map. Twenty social media influencers were chosen in categories of comedy, medical, media, sports, food, gaming, education, society service, coaching, health and fitness, photography, youth, media, entrepreneurship, travel, fashion, media youth and technology.
