On 8 June 2016, a visit to Bahrain International Investment Park took place and in attendance were the President, Prof Ghassan Aouad, Dean of Student Affairs, Dr Faiza Zitouni, and the Head of Marketing and Students Recruitment, Ms. Edyta Przybyla.

Mr. Terry Kehoe, Corporate Services Manager and Mr. Gerry Sharkey, Project Director led the visit.

The group visited the Mondelez and Bahrain Pharma companies and were impressed with the organizational scheme and professionalism. The President discussed potential future cooperation between ASU and BIIP with Mr. Gerry Sharkey and Dr. Waqar Ahmad, Managing Director of Gulf Biotech in terms of providing internships for our student.  Further talks will follow including a visit of BIIP representatives to the University.
