Applied Science University Celebrates its Ninth Graduation Ceremony 2016 at the Gulf Hotel
The University held its graduation ceremony on the 23rd of May for its ninth cohort of students under the patronage of the Chairman of the Board of Directors His Excellency Sameer Abdullah Nass, in the presence of the University Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Waheeb Alkhaja, and the University President, Professor Ghassan Aouad, and staff, as well as a number of public figures and parents of graduates. More than 320 graduates received their degrees from the Patron of the ceremony. HE the Minister of Information Affairs, Mr Ali AlRumaihi, was the guest of honor at the celebration.
His Excellency Mr. Nass delivered the opening speech where he expressed his delight for the graduation of the ninth cohort of the University’s students who have completed their studies and worked very hard to graduate with excellence. He encouraged students to pursue their hard work in order to serve their country.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the founding President of the University Professor Waheeb Ahmed Alkhaja stated that graduation from Applied Science University is a precious gift that we cherish so dearly. Our happiness today comes from our sense of satisfaction and peace of mind.
Professor Ghassan Aouad, President of the University delivered a speech where he acknowledged that Graduation is a special occasion for our graduates, and their families and friends. He added “when ASU was established more than ten years ago, we were convinced of our role in contributing to the prosperity of our beloved Bahrain, and today we provide the evidence in playing a leading role in the education of its human capital”.
ASU’s success over the years is the result of the great efforts of our staff, students, and our alumni – and also to the strong support of the community here in Bahrain and at regional and international levels. The Ministry of Education and the Higher Education Council are major contributors to this success.
