Political science students organise a workshop in International Diplomacy
On Wednesday 20 April 2016, a group of students in Political Science has organised a workshop on the practices of organising conferences in various topics like the Syrian crisis and the civil war in Yemen. The workshop was facilitated by Dr Khaleel Al Samarae, an Associate Professor at the department of Political Science and the instructor of the course titled “Diplomacy in Theory and Practice”. Each student of the group was allocated a country to be its diplomatic representative in a playing role to discuss the problems and consequences of the Syrian crisis; as well as the current civil war in Yemen. This workshop has given the students a great opportunity to exercise their skills in diplomacy in terms of language and expression, and to learn how to be involved in dialogues at an international level.
