Ahmed Azzam the Secretariate for the University Councils and Dr Yasser Attayeb from ASU QAAC, attended a one and a half day Introduction to
Institutional Accreditation workshops on the 14 and 16 January. The workshops provided an explanation of the eight Areas, 31 Standards and the 243 Key Indicators listed in the Institutional Accreditation Handbook. The workshops included an introduction to the institutional accreditation framework and standards, an explanation of the application process and a complete explanation of the self-evaluation report. The programme finished with a session on how to prepare for the inspection visit.

The Applied Science University team who attended the event actively participated in the event and were pleased to notice that ASU preparation for the Accreditation is noticeably ahead of many HEI’s in Bahrain.
