On Friday 1^st of June 2018, the Marketing and Public Relations Directorate organised the annual Staff Ghabga at the Grove Hotel & Conference Centre in Amwaj. The Ghabga was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Waheeb Ahmed Al Khaja; University President Professor Ghassan Fouad Aouad; HE the British Ambassador Mr Simon Martin & his wife Mrs Sophie; Mr Mohamed Alamer member of the of the Board of Trustees; many members of the University Programme Advisory Boards, representatives from media, external guests and a very large number of around 296 colleagues along with their families.

The Ghabga aimed to celebrate a Bahraini Ramadan traditions and strengthen relations among staff. The event started with a welcoming speech by the President, followed by an enjoyable and informative presentation by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations Ms Ruqaya Mohsin. Moreover, the event included a range of fun activities and games such as electric Buzz Wire, Darts, vocabulary & pronunciation repetition competitions and a Guess what’s in the Box game.

As part of this enjoyable event, a traditional folklore show was played in addition to raffles and generous cash prizes that reached up to BD 100 per winner, shopping vouchers for the City Center, followed by other valuable gifts such as electronics, home accessories and a delicious dinner that was served at midnight.
