The event started with a valuable speech from the University president Professor Ghassan F. Aouad about the importance and initiatives of the research group formulation. Next, the Dean of Research and Graduate Studies, Professor Siddeeq Y. Ameen, presented the research groups’ objectives, criteria, mechanisms, funding and privileges. Each research group leader, Professor Saad Darwish, Professor Siddeeq Ameen and Dr. Faiza Zitouni have presented research group proposals for sustainable development, future IT and women for sustainable development together with many suggestions for new projects.
