Applied Science University in cooperation with Microsoft hosted a workshop titled “Cloud DevCamp”.
This workshop was held for the first time in Bahrain and was attended by nearly one hundred students and faculty members.
The lecturer at the workshop discussed the software services across the world in serving the public, the services of emails, the exchange of documents and how to follow up work groups. The lecturer also discussed the possibility of benefiting out of Microsoft Virtual Academy that contains modern curriculum regarding information technology that can be reached freely. The company provided the university with Dream Spark programs for the benefit of the students to be used in their practical studies and in their graduation projects. Dr. Mohamed Al Hamami, a faculty member from the Department of Management Information Systems in the College of Administrative Sciences said that the meeting will open the door between the university students and the market of the big companies and develop the students’ abilities in the practical fields of the computer programs.
