On 16 May 2016, Dr. Bashar Jabril Matarna and Dr. Bishr Mohamed Mowafaq, from the Finance Department at the Administrative Sciences College, participated in a joint research in a competition titled “The Best Financial Research for the Islamic Banking 2016” and won the third place.

The competition was held at Sharqa University under the patronage of Shaikh Sultan Qasemi, the ruler of Sharqa, Dr. Ibrahim Mansoori, the Director of Sharqa Islamic Centre as well as an audience specialized in this field from UAE, Morocco, Bahrain and other countries.
