ASU library has participated in the Special Libraries Association (SLA) 22nd Annual Conference titled “Future Challenges of Library and Information Profession”. The conference was held in Kuwait from 19 to 21 April 2016. ASU had its own booth where its publications were displayed. ASU publication collection was presented as a gift to the National Library of Kuwait after the meeting held between its director and ASU library director.

Dr. Ammar Jalamneh, ASU library Director has participated in the conference meetings discussing the latest issues in academic libraries with libraries’ directors from different GCC countries. The conference was an excellent chance to exchange knowledge and get informed about the latest programs and technologies in library management.

Meetings with publishers from different countries were also held to discuss the latest databases in different languages and the different types of registrations.

At the end of the conference participants were honoured and given certificates of appreciation of their active participation.
