Fifth Research Seminar Series at the College of Administrative Sciences
The College of Administrative Sciences has organised its fifth research seminar series on 31 March 2016 entitled “21st Century Skills: Where are we in the Arab World?”, delivered by Prof Saad Darwish.
Professor Saad presented his thoughts on the new set of skills that characterise the 21st century’s needs in terms of knowledge and education. In one of his quote, he provides the following definition of 21st century skills:
It is a broad set of knowledge, skills, work habits, and character traits that are believed—by educators, school reformers, college professors, employers, and others—to be critically important to success in today’s world, particularly in collegiate programs and modern careers. This seminar is to be developed to a research project with colleagues from the College of Administrative Sciences, Dr Marawn Abdldayem and Prof Siddiq from College of Arts & Sciences. The attendees discussed the topic with enthusiasm and Prof Ghassan led the discussion pointing the importance of this seminar to all our colleagues.
