Lecture on “ASU Research and Graduate Studies Status and Development”
On Thursday, 24 March, Prof. Siddeeq Yousif Ameen, Dean of Research and Graduate Studies delivered a lecture on “ASU Research and Graduate Studies Status and Development”. The lecture was attended by the University President, VP for Academic Affairs, VP Assistant and consultants, deans and members of staff. In his lecture, Prof. Siddeeq outlined ASU’s research strategy and the ways to strengthen university research capacity via creating an environment for faculty members to perform research and establish sources of research funding for universities. It also showed the approaches to strengthen the integration of Bahrain academic institutions with international research institutions and collaborative research across disciplines.
Prof. Siddeeq also outlined the graduate studies at ASU and how it can be improved via the simplified chart for PG By-laws and procedures. Finally, recommendations on research and graduate studies development were discussed by faculty and staff from the audience.
