UK Higher Education Academy (HEA) Second Training visit
The University has entered a consultancy agreement with the U.K. Higher Education Academy (HEA) to develop, deliver and train members of staff through completion of a Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (CLTHE) which will be aligned to the UKPSF and result in successful participants being awarded Fellowships (FHEA) and Senior Fellowships (SFHEA) of the Academy.
Their second visit was over the period 10 – 14 (Incl.) of January 2016. Five SFHEA and twenty one FHEA applicants were involved in the training. Dr. Adrian Brockett, who is an HEA Senior Fellow led the training.
Central to the training was to guide and advice individual applicants to complete the required application using reflective writing techniques. In addition, there have been a number of specific topics within which every individual candidate was engaged. The specific training topics were:
- Action Research
- Course design
- Assessments criteria and their types
