On 9 December, ASU hosted a seminar on Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the Field of Sports. The seminar was conducted by the General Secretary of the award, Dr Abdulrahman Sayyar and attended by members of the administrative and academic staff of the university and its students.

The seminar was part of the cooperation between the Bahrain Olympic Committee, the organisers of the award, and the university to encourage the use of scientific research to create knowledge and, ultimately, to improve the level of performance in all areas of sports.
