Dr. Mohammed Hamami delivered a lecture on the use of social media and volunteerism in Abdulla Nass Hall as part of the
Community Engagement office activities.  He focused on the impact of social media on individuals’ lives, communities and businesses.

He also discussed the best application to use social media in volunteerism by organisations, associations and even individuals. His lecture touched on the importance of social networking at the enterprise level sites of all sizes.

According to the statistics of the global club of social media, there are 1.25 billion Facebook users around the world, out of which 517 thousand users in Bahrain and 53 million users in the Arab world. As for Twitter, there are half a billion users around the world, including 250 thousand users in Bahrain and 15 million users in the Arab world.
