Applied Science University’s first Board of Trustees meeting for the academic year 2015-2016 was successfully held on Thursday, 10 December 2015 at ASU’s campus in Sitra. The meeting was chaired by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Waheeb AlKhaja.  The board meeting was attended by Professor Ghassan Aouad, Mr. Ghazi Nass, Mr. Mohammed Yaqoob, Dr. Fatima Al-Baloushi, Dr. Fayez Al-Sadeh, Mr. Adel Nass, Mr. Waleed Al-Khaja.

The Board was  welcomed  by  the  Chairman  of  the  BOT  and  the  Founding  President  of  ASU, Prof. Waheeb  Ahmed AlKhaja, the President of ASU, Prof. Ghassan Aouad, and the Secretariat General of Councils, Dr. Ahmed Azzam. During the meeting, Prof. Aouad and Dr. Azzam conducted presentations on the status of ASU academically and administratively. ASU’s new strategic plan, new policies and procedures, updated bylaws, committee structure, improvements in academic programs, National Qualification Framework (NQF) – Listing Application, GAP Analysis for the HEC Accreditation and other items were discussed, reviewed and approved by the Board. The BOT acknowledged the documentation, and organization of the meeting and also praised the university for its performance.
