Professor Ghassan Aouad delivered a lecture at the Gulf Petrochemicals Company titled “Leaders, are they Born or Made?” The lecture was attended by a large number of the GPIC employees.

Professor Ghassan Aouad at the outset of the lecture defined that leadership means the ability to make adifference and to lead people in order to achieve the aims of the establishment. He added that leaders must believe in what they do and they must make good plans, be wise, have initiative and trust their employees.

Professor Ghassan Aouad also described different theories of leadership and gave examples about international personalities who have succeeded in making changes in all walks of life.

The attendees praised Prof. Ghassan  for answeringd many of the perplexing questions regarding this complex subject and added that they hope that there will be more joint activities in the future between the university and the company.  At the end of the lecture, a certificate was given to Professor Ghassan in appreciation of his insightful presentation.
