ASU organizes Alumni Reunion in Kuwait under the patronage of Kuwait’s Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs
Manama- Applied Science University: Under the patronage of the Kuwait’s Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs Yacoub Bin Abdul Mohsen Al Sanea, the Applied Science University (ASU) organized a celebration for Kuwaiti alumni who had graduated from ASU.
More than 100 graduates who graduated between the years 2006 up to 2013 participated in the celebration. The aim of the celebration was reestablish communication and interaction between the university and its Kuwaiti graduates. ASU believes it is imperative to keep in contact with its alumni as these students are important ambassadors and representatives of the university.
The celebration was organized by the Office of Professional Development and Graduate Affairs. Professor Waheeb Al Khaja, the eManaging Director of the Board of Directors, started the celebration by delivering a speech. In his speech he said that he was very happy to the see such a large number of students attending the celebration and this reflected the educational awareness of the GCC citizens and their leadership. He thanked the Kuwaiti Minister of Justice for attending the celebration. Then the Minister of Justice and Islamic Affairs, Mr. Yacoub Al Sanea, he expressed his thanks to the University for organizing such a celebration. He stated tha the celebration represented a sense of belonging between the university and its students, especially because he is one of the graduates of the university.
Professor Ghassan Aouad, the President of ASU, said the university seeks to produce graduate students who are capable of serving their nation and added that the happiest years in the life of the students are their university years. He wished all the graduates success in their lives. He also made a presentation about the achievements of the university and the its activities during the last ten years.
Dr. Nihad Jabbori, the Dean of the Students Affairs, said in his speech that the graduates of ASU are still part of it, and the main reason for this celebration was to strengthen the relationship between the university and its graduates and added that many of the university graduates are in senior positions in their countries. He said ASU is still exerting its efforts to help all its students achieve success in their lives.
