Discussing ways of joint cooperation between Applied Science University and the University of Jordan
Within the framework of cooperation between the members of the Association of Arab Universities, Dr. Waheeb Al-Khaja the president of Applied Science University visited the University of Jordan in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan where he met Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh and discussed the possible areas of cooperation between the two universities in various academic and administrative fields in addition to the areas of training, consultation and joint scientific projects.
During the meeting, Al-Khaja stressed that Applied Science University believes in the importance of partnership with various educational institutions which are members of Arab Universities Association and exchanges experiences with each other, noting that the university is keen to cooperate with universities and educational institutions which have remarkable and scientific positions internationally and regionally, Al-Khaja expressed hopes to open more prospects of joint cooperation and coordination in order to create an educational system that achieves excellence, perfection and quality through investing the human resources and the available opportunities.
For his part, Tarawneh welcomed the collaboration with Applied Science University in Bahrain, stressing the readiness of the university to provide all the services and facilities to establish joint scientific programs. He also suggested joining Applied Science University to the Arab Cultural Center project in Turkey to teach Arabic to non-native speaker, Tarawneh added that this project aims to spread Arab culture and civilization in addition to the Islamic heritage.
The two sides addressed the possibility of holding training courses in different scientific fields in order to develop the capabilities and efficiency of faculty members and administrative employees, in addition to the establishment of projects, conferences and scientific seminars.
The two sides addressed the possibility of establishing a branch of the University of Jordan Center of Consultation in the Applied Science University, utilizing Jordanian cadres to provide training and consulting services to the Bahraini people.
