Applied Science University trains graduates on employment skills
Manama – Applied Science University:
In the context of mission of Applied Science University to rehabilitate and help students to engage in the labor market before graduation, the Department of professional development and Alumni affairs at the Deanship of Student Affairs established a workshop for students who are expected to graduate at the first semester 2013/2014, under the title of “Employment skills,” the workshop aims at preparing and introducing students to the most prominent skills that students must have in order to apply for any job.
For her part, Dr Rawya Zamari the director of the guidance and counseling office at the Deanship of Student Affairs and evening studies explained that this workshop addressed several topics related to the employment skills and how to acquire these skills through scientific theories and practical applications. In conclusion, a questionnaire is distributed to students to measure their satisfaction about the workshop.
Mr. Mohammed al-Najjar the head of professional development and alumni affairs department illustrated that this workshop is an implementation of the department work plan, pointing out that this workshop aims at preparing graduates for the labor market and work life through setting up the workshops and training courses.
