Applied Science University received a delegation from the Ernst & Young firm and Tamkeen where it was agreed to invite the university alumni to participate in a training program in order to help graduate students to engage in the labor market.
This meeting came in the context of the vision and mission of the university, which aims to be one of the leading universities that support and strengthen the applied education in Bahrain and the Gulf states, furthermore; the university is keen to engage graduates in the labor market through training the students before graduation.
During the meeting, the attendees discussed the recruitment and training program with the students. The program consists of two stages; the first is theoretical and lasts for three months where the trainee can choose the certificate that he/she wants to get (ACCA Diploma in accounting and business) or (CIMA Diploma in management accounting)
The second stage lasts for three months and the trainee has a monthly salary of 200 dinars. An entrance exam is required to enroll in the program then the qualifications of the students are presented to companies that have vacancies. This program is designed for the graduates from the disciplines of accounting and finance, business administration and Accounting and management Information Systems. The program prepares students in accordance with the needs of the Bahrain and Gulf labor market.
