Applied Science University is one of the sponsors for the Late Abdulla Nass race for Equestrian

Applied Science University participated in sponsoring one of the cups of the third Horseracing for this season which was organized by Club Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing at Alrfah area in Sakhir. The race was held in the presence of Son of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The race was held under the title of “The cups of the Late Abdulla Nass” and sponsored and supported by the NAS group which offered a great and outstanding sponsorship this season by increasing the financial award and presenting cups races which witnessed a strong competition along with organizing entertainment events in the club.
The first race was to win the Nass Group Cup for locally bred horses with a cash prize of BD1,000 and to be run over 1,000 metres straight. The second race was to win Applied Science University Cup for third and fourth degree imported horses with a cash prize of BD1,000 and to be run over 1,6000 metres .Also, the third race was to win Nass Group cup for all Local bred horses with a cash prize of BD1,000 and to be run over 1,6000 metres.
The fourth race was to win the Gulf City Cleaning Cup for locally bred horses with a cash prize of BD1,000 and to be run over 1,200 metres straight. The fifth race was to win the late Abdulla Ahmed Nass Cup, sponsored by Sarens Nass Middle East Cup, for Arabian horses (WAHO) with a cash prize of BD2,000 and to be run over 1,400 metres. The sixth race was to win the Blue Dawn Cup for an open event, with a cash prize of BD2,000 and to be run over 1,800 metres.The seventh race was to win the Late Abdulla Ahmed Nass, sponsored by Nass Group, for first Class imported horses with a cash prize of BD3,000 and to be run over 1,000 metres.
For his part, Dr. Waheeb AL-Khaja, the president of Applied Science University praised the organizational level of the races, pointing out that the University is always keen to support sportive, social and cultural events based on the university role as a pioneer educational organization. Moreover, he added that the university is keen to support the homeland service and national talent in various fields ,furthermore, he pointed out that this support comes as a recognition of contributions of the late Abdullah Nass in serving the nation and the educational process of Applied Science University.
In the presence of the Son of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Dr. Waheeb AL-Khaja the president of Applied Science University at the end of the race presented the University Cup for the winner in the second race Salah Mahdi.
