Applied Science University receives a delegation of the German-Arab Friendship Association
Within the framework of joint cooperation between Applied Science University and a number of Arab and foreign universities, HE Dr. Waheeb Al Khaja received a delegation of the German-Arab Friendship Association and the two sides discussed the possibility of joint cooperation between Applied Science University and the German universities. Also, the delegation was informed about the academic programs offered by the university. During the meeting, Prof. Saad zenad, the counselor of the President for Financial and Administrative Affairs and community engagement illustrated the Strategic Plan of the University. Furthermore, Prof. Hilal Al-Bayati, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and the quality of education provided a presentation about the academic programs at the university. Dr. David Allison the manager of Quality Assurance and Accreditation unit talked about the future plan of the quality of education and training.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed as the prospects of joint cooperation between Applied Science University and the German-Arab Friendship Association such as the possibility of adopting joint research projects aimed at supporting Applied Science University in accordance with its mission and vision. Moreover, the possibility of adopting some academic programs which are taught in Germany, in addition to the possibility of developing a future vision for the process of student exchange between Applied Science University and German universities.
On the other hand, Dr. Waheeb Al-Khaja delivered a speech in which he stressed that Applied Science University believes in the importance of partnership with various educational institutions, pointing out that the university is keen to build bridges of cooperation with educational institutions that have a prestigious reputation regionally and globally. He explained that the university is moving at a steady pace for the advancement of the scientific level of its graduates through its commitment to quality standards of education and training and working to keep up with the latest developments in accordance with the regulations and the terms of the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain. For their part, the guests expressed their admiration for the new campus which is located in the East Eker, praising the modern equipments and facilities available at the new building that depends on the latest electronic means in the classrooms as design studios, lectures halls, computer labs and language labs, as well as the library which includes all means of modern electronic communication. This visit of the German-Arab Friendship Association delegation came as a result of coordination between Dr. Mohammed Attia, the head of business administration department at the university and Bahrain Economic Development Board.
